$500 WorkCover RCD's Rebate
NSW Small Businesses that employ 0-20 full-time staff or equivalent (including sole traders) and who has attended a WorkCover Assist Workshop may be eligible for the $500 WorkCover RCD’s rebate.
Details below:
- WorkCover currently offers up to a $500 full cost rebate towards the purchase and installation of RCDs.
- The $500 rebate is being provided under the current Safety Solutions Rebate Program.
- The $500 rebate excludes GST, freight and insurance costs.
- Businesses can apply for the rebate by completing the rebate application form and meeting the eligibility criteria outlined on the form. The mailing address is on the form.
- There is a limit of one rebate per business ABN i.e. a business can only apply once.
- Eligibility criteria - to be eligible for the rebate, applicants must be a small business NSW owner that employs 0-20 full-time staff or equivalent (includes sole traders) and who has attended a WorkCover safety workshop or workplace advisory visit.
- RCDs must be purchased/installed after workshop/WAV attendance (rebates are not paid retrospectively).
- Businesses can claim for more than one eligible solution on their one application form. For example, if a small business applied for 3 solutions that totalled $1200, they would receive a maximum rebate of up to $500.
- Fixed RCDs must meet AS/NZS 3190 standards and can only be installed by a licensed electrical contractor, as required by law.
- Small business applicants need to attach proof of purchase to their rebate application form e.g. paid tax invoice/receipt, as well as a copy of the Certificate of Compliance – Electrical Work issued to them by their electrical contractor.
