Traineeships provide the basic training requirements for people commencing work in the furnishing industry. Traineeships are cost-effective and flexible work and study arrangements, usually lasting for one year full time or two years part time. Trainees are paid a training wage and are trained on-the-job by the employer. They are assisted in this training with trainee assessment from FIAA in our capacity as a Registered Training Organisation.
Furnishing trades are only offered at a few locations within the State TAFE system and in many cases it can be difficult for apprentices in some regional areas to attend "off-the-job" training at TAFE. This is part of the value proposition for FIAA as your preferred supplier of training and assessment.
