TRAINEESHIPS
What is a traineeship?
Traineeships provide the training requirements for people commencing work in their chosen industry or existing employee’s wishing to have their skills recognised. Traineeships are cost-effective, flexible and tailored to suit industry needs. Trainees are trained on the job by their employer, with flexible study arrangements.
Why choose Traineeships?
Some qualifications are only offered at a few locations within the TAFE systems and may be very difficult for New Apprentices in some regional areas to attend “off-the-job” training at TAFE.
The FIAA training is flexible and based in the work-place and therefore the trainee is not disadvantaged by having to travel vast distances to complete their training.
Why Certificate II and III Traineeships?
The FIAA has recognised the need for access to the current and relevant training courses to keep pace with the changes and skills required in the Furnishings, Timber Manufacturing and Textiles industries. The emphasis for the traineeship is on practicality, flexibility and blended training. The courses provide an accredited training program and skill’s development and provide a clear path for people wishing to pursue a career in their chosen industry.
